LOGAN – The members of the Logan Municipal Council are inviting the general public to attend a strategic retreat slated for Thursday, Jan. 15 and Friday, Jan. 16 on the campus of Utah State University.

That event will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 507 of the University Inn on Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday.

While city officials say the meeting will be open to the public, they emphasize that public comments will not be accepted during the two-day forum.

With the assistance of Dr. Damon Cann of the Political Science Department at Utah State University, the meeting’s strategic planning session will focus on identifying the city’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats; developing a mission statement for Logan; enumerating the city’s values; improving community relations; and identifying policy priorities for the city council and the mayor’s office.

The University Inn is located at 650 North, 875 East on the USU campus.
