LOGAN – With minimal discussion, the members of the Logan Municipal Council approved a new schedule of fees for the Logan River Golf Course, the City Cemetery and Logan Parks and Recreation facilities during their regular meeting on May 5.

When a public hearing on Resolution 26-12 drew no comments from the audience, the council unanimously passed the fee schedule changes proposed by Russ Akina, the director of the City Parks & Recreation Department.

After surveying the prices charged by other golf courses throughout the state – including links at Eagle Mountain in Brigham City, Gladstan Golf Course in Payson, Glen Eagle Golf Course in Syracuse, South Mountain Golf Course in Draper and the Sun Hills Golf Course in Layton — the city’s recreation staff recommended comparable selected fee increases for the Logan River Golf Course.

The staff recommended that the fee for an adult regular 20-punch pass (for nine-hole rounds) be increased to $330 from the 2025 price of $310.

The fee for a senior 10-punch pass (for 18-hole rounds) will increase from $270 to $290.

A power cart rental for a nine hole round will increase from $10 to $11 while an 18-hole power cart rental will jump from $20 to $22.

Those fee adjustments will take effect immediate at the Logan River links, while all other fees there will be unchanged.

Akina also outlined a schedule of more substantial changes to fees that will take effect July 1 at the City Cemetery.

Those include new fees of $1,000 for a burial space; $300 for a half/infant burial space; $1,000 for a cremation; $950 for a weekday burial; $1,900 for a Saturday burial; $450 for a weekday infant burial; $550 for a Saturday infant burial; $600 for a weekday cremation service; $650 for a Saturday cremation service; $2,500 for a disinterment; and $1,000 for an infant or cremation disinterment.

Effective July 1, the fee for all-day use of city baseball or softball fields will increase from $85 to $125. Hourly use of the same field will jump from $10 to $20.

The fee for all-day use of city soccer fields will increase from $75 to $125. Hourly use of the same field will jump from $10 to $20.

The fees for non-profit organizations using city parks will increase from $150 to $300, while the fees to for-profit groups will rise from $300 to $600.
