LOGAN — A 34-year-old Logan man has admitted to kidnapping a woman and forcing her to drive him to Salt Lake City. Carson Jacob Warr has been in the Cache County Jail since being arrested July 23.

According to court records, Warr appeared Sept. 15 in Logan’s 1st District Court. He accepted a plea deal, pleading guilty to two count of aggravated assault, amended to a third-degree felony. A third charge was dismissed without prejudice.

According to prosecutors, Logan City Police officers received a delayed domestic dispute call in July. The victim explained how she was at Warr’s residence on May 25, when he began yelling at her about money. He reportedly pushed her into a kitchen counter, fracturing one of her ribs.

The woman told police, Warr took her phone and keys, forcing her to drive him to Salt Lake City. He then instructed her to withdraw $140 from an ATM, and took the money from her.

Police noted medical records and doctor statements confirmed the victim’s injuries. They also located bank statements and security footage, showing the woman withdrawing the cash.

Warr remains in jail, being held without bail. He is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 5, and could face more than five years in prison.
