LOGAN — A 44-year-old Logan man has admitted to molesting several young girls continuously for years. Dustin James Creager accepted a plea that will likely send him to prison.

Creager appeared Monday, Nov. 21, in Logan’s 1st District Court. He pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual abuse of a child and attempted sexual abuse of a child, both first-degree felonies; along with two counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony.

Cache County Deputy Attorney Ronnie Keller explained how Creager molested the girls over the course of nine years from 2009-2018. He was originally arrested in February 2022, after one of the victims called police to report how she was fondled and groped by the defendant while visiting his house.

Additional charges were later filed after more victims came forward, describing how they had also been sexually abused by Creager when they were younger. The girls both gave police similar accounts of being molested by the defendant, who had a position of trust with them. He also would force them to inappropriately touch him.

One of the girls described how Creager threatened her if she reported the abuse. The others said they were abused frequently for years.

Police attempted to question Creager at the time of their investigation. He refused to cooperate and invoked his right to legal counsel.

During Monday’s court hearing, defense attorney Cameron Cox explained how as part of Creager’s plea deal, prosecutors agreed to dismiss 21 remaining charges.

Judge Spencer Walsh ordered Creager to undergo a presentence evaluation by probation agents, detailing his criminal history. He also scheduled a sentencing hearing for Jan. 29.

Creager remains in the Cache County Jail, being held without bail. He could face up life in prison.
