LOGAN – Summer baseball programs for youngsters being offered by the Logan Parks and Recreation Department are slated to begin during the first week in June.

Those offerings are youth Tee Ball and Little Hitters baseball programs.

The Parks and Recreation Department of Logan City will sponsor summer baseball programs for youngsters during the month of June. Those programs will include Tee Ball for 5- and 6-year-old girls and boys as well as a Little Hitters program for 3- and 4-year-old boys and girls (Image courtesy of Facebook).


The city’s website explains that the Tee Ball program is being offered for boys and girls in 5- to 6-year-old age groups, while the Little Hitters program is geared to 3- and 4-year-old boys and girls.

The website promises that participants in the youth baseball offerings will have fun while learning the fundamentals of baseball in a non-competitive program.

The Little Hitters program will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from June 3 to June 26, with games scheduled from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.

An alternative time for Little Hitters will be Tuesday and Thursdays from June 4 to June 27, with games also scheduled from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.

The Tee Ball program will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from June 3 to June 26, with games scheduled from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

All games will be held at the Merlin Olsen Park, located at 300 East Center Street in Logan.
