Lasagna Love was all created by a Facebook post in California when COVID was in full bloom. It asked if anyone wanted a homemade meal to be delivered to them.

It is now a non-profit, international organization. They are located in 50 states of the U.S., in Australia, Canada, and even in the UK.

Deea Hobbs is the state director of Utah and Nevada.

Their mission statement is “to feed families, spread kindness and strengthen communities” and they can do that by making “a homemade lasagna in their home and delivering it to a family in need.”

In the state of Utah there is a high demand for volunteers in Salt Lake City and getting the word out to Logan residents.

Hobbs says she has “volunteers in Logan, Hyde Park, Cache County and in Weber County” and “they are making lasagnas and delivering them to hungry families in Logan today.”

The organization is run by volunteers willing to either make lasagnas in their own home or to just deliver them.

The volunteers can set their own times and dates on when they can deliver lasagna and they can set how many miles they are willing to travel.

Hobbs says when volunteers sign up, they can specify how many miles they are willing to travel to deliver lasagna.

There are volunteers who can only deliver within a 5 mile radius and there are others who can travel 50 miles.

“Don’t hesitate to sign up. We’re here for you, and we would love to provide a homemade lasagna for you and deliver it to your door,” said Hobbs.

For anyone who wants to help but isn’t able to make lasagna, they can donate food supplies that can help volunteers make lasagna.

“There’s so many different ways people can help,” Hobbs adds. “They can donate to the website. They can donate to the local leader, who will purchase ingredients and share them with volunteers.”

Any family or individual who wants a homemade meal can request or they can nominate one from their website.

“We’re all in this together. And if you need help, we’re here for you,” Hobbs says. “We want to provide a meal for you. We want you to have one small moment in your life, in a time where you don’t have to worry about.”
