October 5, 1984 – August 31, 2023 (age 38)

Johnathan Rule Clark, 38, passed away on August 31, 2023. Born on October 5, 1984, in Radford, Virginia, Johnathan was a kind and caring person all the way to his core. He was the only son of Ruth Rule Clark and the late John Richard Clark, in his passing he has now been reunited with his father and his Uncle Henry “Buddy” Clark.

Johnathan is survived by his mother Ruth Clark and her companion Philip Johnson of Salem, VA; his older sister Kelly Williams, her husband Adam, and their eight (8) children of Lewiston, UT; and his younger sister Bethany Clark of Atlanta, GA. He also leaves behind Aunt Virginia “Ginny” and Uncle Jim, their children, Aunt Wiletta “Willie” (wife of the late Uncle Buddy) and their children, and cherished family friends.

After graduating from Radford High School, VA, Johnathan went on to pursue higher education at Ohio University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics and Applied Mathematics. He developed a passion for serving others in his adult life. Johnathan was the owner of Scagnetti Solutions a handyman service in Seattle WA. He took great pride in the creations, craftsmanship, and improvements he provided for others.

When given the opportunity to travel Johnathan would always be up for the adventure. Some of his fondest memories were of the time he spent backpacking through Europe and the many cross-country trips he made with his beloved dog Scagnetti. Recently he had expressed the desire to make a trip to South America to backpack in the mountains of Ecuador and Peru.

Johnathan loved to learn and was a consumer of knowledge. He found great joy in uncovering obscure facts and having an understanding of topics few others were aware of.

Music was a significant part of Johnathan’s life. He loved playing, listening to, writing, and performing music of all kinds. At one point, he described music as his oxygen, demonstrating his deep connection to the art form. He was a talented musician, so much so he could pick up almost any instrument and learn to play it.
