March 15, 1939 – May 13, 2022 (age 83)

Jack S Meyerhoffer, 83, died peacefully in his sleep on May 13, 2022, at Rocky Mountain Care-Willow Springs surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Jack was born on March 15, 1939, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ida Mae and William Wilford Meyerhoffer. He graduated with a degree of Master of Arts in acknowledgement of achievements in Speech and Dramatic Art in 1969 from BYU Provo, and Master of Education in Instructional Technology in 1985 from USU. He served in the Airforce Reserve for 6 years as Medical Officer. He was a director for Promise Valley Playhouse in Salt Lake City and worked at the University of Utah as a veterinarian tech., and as an Electron Microscope Technician. Jack was a professional landscaper for many years.

Jack married Olive Lyle Saunders, December 21, 1962. They raised 5 boys and 1 daughter. David, Ronald, Layne, Cinda (Rick), Rand (Michelle), and Dan (Chantha). They have 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He had a very strong testimony of Jesus Christ, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served his mission in the Northwestern States, Washington, Oregon, and the panhandle of Idaho. Jack loved to serve others and loved to talk to anyone he could. He is loved by his family members and friends and will be missed. We love you dad / grandpa, and we will see you again.

His funeral service will be held this Saturday May 21, 2022, at Nelson Funeral Home 162 East 400 North, Logan, Utah.

The viewing will be held at 10:30-11:30 am, following the funeral at 12-1 pm.

The grave dedication will be at 1:30 pm at the Hyrum Cemetery 525 East Main Street Hyrum, Utah.
