LOGAN — Emergency crews responded to a head-on collision in Logan Canyon, US-89, which left two people injured. The crash occurred near the Franklin Basin Road turnoff Sunday night.

The Logan City Fire Department reported multiple fire and rescue units arrived on the scene just before 9 p.m. A medical helicopter was called to transport one patient with serious injuries. A second person with minor injuries was taken to Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital by ambulance.

The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
