January 8, 1957 — March 5, 2024 (age 67)

With heavy hearts we announce the loss of Grant Steven Gordon, treasured husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who died of heart failure at IMC in Murray, Utah, on March 5, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 8, 1957, in Logan, Utah.

Grant learned the value of hard work on a family farm in Lewiston, Utah.  He attended and graduated from Sky View High School in 1975.  Shortly after high school he began his career as a cheese maker at Cache Valley Cheese where he was employed for 27 years.  He met the love of his life, Kallin Keller and they were married December 15, 1978.

He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors with his family.  He coached his sons in Junior Jazz Basketball, Little League Baseball, and Flag Football.  He doted over his grandchildren and loved spending time with them.

He found joy in serving as Santa’s helper every Christmas Season for the last 32 years, spreading Christmas cheer to all.  Grant spent the last 10 years as an EMT with Franklin County Ambulance, as well as an EMS instructor for the last 8 years to train new EMTs and share his passion for EMT services.

Grant is preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Hazel Gordon; his siblings Johnny Gordon, George Gordon, Lois Bodily, Carole Smith, Drew Gordon, Brent Gordon, and Cathy Hardy; his brothers-in-law Carlos Elwood, and Dale Hardy; his parents-in-law Ruel and Shirley Keller; and his sister-in-law Gerri Keller Carter.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kallin Keller Gordon, his children Johnathan Ruel Gordon – Afton, Wyoming, Christopher Johnson Gordon (Brittney) – Tremonton, Utah, Dakotah Ross Gordon (Amber) – Hyrum, Utah, his 14 grandchildren Harley, Vanessa, Arianna, Robinson, Matthew, Xander, Christian, Hope, Xavier, Bennett, Xaylee, Xaiden, Phoenix, and Xarina, his sisters Maureen Elwood, Ilene Palmer (Jody), and Paula Gordon, his sisters-in-law Tammie Benson (Joe), Kristi Westover (Jim), and Rod Carter (Gerri) and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Webb Funeral Home at 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho, on Saturday March 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.

Viewings will be held at Webb Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be held at the Whitney Cemetery after the funeral.

We would like to thank the various doctors, nurses, and staff at IMC for the exceptional medical care they provided over the past month.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and those whose lives he has touched.
