LOGAN — Goodwill is bringing its mission-driven thrift shopping to Cache Valley with the grand opening of its first store in Logan on March 27. The 15,000-square-foot retail space at 1617 N. Main Street will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:45 a.m., hosted by the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce, followed by doors opening at 9 a.m.
Bill Collins, chief systems and facilities officer for Easterseals-Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain Inc., said the expansion into Logan will provide residents with affordable shopping options while supporting the nonprofit’s job training and employment programs.
“We are very excited for this new opportunity to expand to Logan,” Collins said. “Donors may think they’re just cleaning out their closet, but giving gently used items to Goodwill also gives someone a chance to change their life.”
As part of the grand opening festivities, shoppers from March 27 to March 30 will have the chance to enter a drawing to win one of five $100 Goodwill gift cards. Winners will be announced on March 31.
The new location will be Goodwill’s seventh in Utah, joining stores in Layton, Millcreek, Murray, Sandy, West Jordan, and an outlet in Salt Lake City. The Logan store will offer gently used clothing, household goods, and other thrifted items while also serving as a donation processing center.

Proceeds from Goodwill stores support various programs, including paid job training for older adults re-entering the workforce, as well as early intervention services in Provo. Employees at Goodwill stores gain valuable job skills such as customer service, cashiering, and time management.
Easterseals-Goodwill Northern Rocky Mountain Inc. operates Goodwill locations across Utah, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, offering services that range from employment training to housing and community integration for adults with disabilities.
