SMITHFIELD  – The Four Season Theatre Company here has announced its line-up of productions for 2025.

Led by brothers Kody and Jon Rash, the performing arts troupe is set to stage three musicals and a comedy next year.

That line-up will include the musicals Sister Act, Matilda and A Christmas Story, as well as Noël Coward’s charming comedy Blythe Spirit.

The company’s 2025 season will lead off with Sister Act on March 17 to 25, 2025.

That show is a 2006 musical based on the 1992 film of the same name starring Whoopie Goldberg. It’s story centers on a singing showgirl hiding out from gangsters in a Catholic convent.

With music by Disney composer Alan Menken, Sister Act opened in London in 2009 and subsequently on Broadway and in regional theaters. This Four Seasons production will represent a regional debut here in northern Utah.

The Smithfield troupe will follow that premier with Matilda in mid-June, another musical with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin and an adaptation by Dennis Kelly.

Matilda is based on a 1988 novel of the same name by Roald Dahl, the beloved British author of darkly comic stories for children. It’s subversive fun about an exceptional child with the power of telekinesis who rises above her family’s dysfunction to provoke an elementary school insurrection.

With catchy songs, colorful characters and a large cast of youngsters, Matilda is perfect entertainment for families.

The show has previously been produced by the Cache Theatre Company in 2021 and will debut at Mountain Crest High School in November. Of this year.

The comedy Blythe Spirit is slated for August 4 to 11, 2025 in Smithfield.

In this amusing romp by noted British playwright Noël Coward, a séance goes delightfully wrong, ending a cynical novelist’s writer’s block but also allowing the ghost of his late wife to haunt his English county home.

Finally, the Four Seasons company will reprise its hilarious 2023 production of A Christmas Story!

The musical is loosely based the 1983 film of the same name, which was taken from semi-fictional anecdotes by humorist Jean Shepherd in his comic collections entitled In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash and Wanda Hickey’s Night of Golden Memories and Other Disasters.

Set in Indiana in December of 1940, A Christmas Story! follows the trials and tribulations of young Ralphie Parker as he struggles to be worthy of the ultimate Christmas gift – a Red Ryder Carbine Action BB Gun – while struggling with a semi-neurotic father and an over-protective mother.

A Christmas Story! will be staged Dec. 1 through 8, 2025.

Season ticket sales for the Four Season’s productions in 2025 will go on sale Friday, Nov. 8 at:
