Florence Elaine Peterson Harrop – Cache Valley Daily

Florence Elaine Peterson Harrop was born on October 24, 1941 to loving parents George W. & L. Grace (Richardson) Peterson of Smithfield, Utah and passed away on September 25, 2023. Elaine attended local schools and graduated from North Cache High School and on December 12, 1974 married her eternal companion Dennis Clark Harrop in the Logan LDS Temple and were later blessed with two daughters Amanda and Dawn.

Elaine loved her family and spent most of her life surrounded by them. She was known as the fun center of family activities and most Saturday’s could be found around her dining room table playing games with her mom, sister, nieces, nephews and later her kids. Elaine had a giving heart and hated to see anyone go without, she delighted in doing secret Santa every Christmas season and often was concerned that she hadn’t done enough. Elaine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served as a ward and stake Librarian for many years as well as in the Young Women Presidency.

Elaine was preceded in death by her Parents, her brother Lamar and Sister Darlene.

She is survived by her daughters Amanda and Dawn as well as her pride and joy grandchildren Jaxon, Alyssa and Austin.

Services will be held at Cache Valley Mortuary 80 West 4200 North Hyde Park, UT 84318 on Friday September 29th with a viewing from 10:00 A.M to 11:30 A.M with the funeral to follow at 12:00 P.M.
