The FBI is carrying out a court-authorized search warrant at a home in Southern California, according to an FBI spokesperson.
Sources have told ABC News that the search is connected to an ongoing investigation into former Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell.
“Early this morning the FBI conducted an operation in the Los Angeles region related to an ongoing criminal investigation,” the FBI told ABC News, adding “We have no further comment.”
Swalwell doesn’t live in the home that is being searched, but it is believed he stayed in the home for a time, sources told ABC News.
ABC News has reached out to an attorney for Swalwell for comment.
