LOGAN — Law enforcement is searching for a person believed to be involved in a theft case at Mountain Crest High School.

According to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office, a $1,500 sports camera belonging to the Mountain Crest High School soccer team went missing several weeks ago without an explanation. Now, deputies say they have found an image of the person they believe has the camera.

Cache County Sheriff’s Lt. Mikelshan Bartschi said that deputies were alerted to the case after a member of the team’s coaching staff opened an app that connects to the camera automatically. On the app, the coach found an image of a man which was recently captured by the camera.

Bartschi explained how deputies believe the man is the person who has the camera.

Currently, law enforcement has not been able to identify the man from the image. Deputies are asking for the public’s help, if anyone recognizes him.

The suspect is seen wearing glasses and a button down shirt. Also, his hair line is balding on the top.

Deputies are asking anyone who may recognize the suspect to call dispatch at 435-753-7555.
