RICH COUNTY — Investigators have identified the body of a 27-year-old man found Tuesday in Garden City.
In a press release, Rich County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Jared Johnson announced Saturday that the unknown person found dead had been identified as Tristen White. He had been missing out of Washington County since January 2024.
White’s body was located at approximately noon on April 2.
La Verkin police initially notified the public of White’s disappearance in March, after he had been missing for over a month.
White was last seen at Firehouse Pizza in Garden City near Bear Lake. On the day of his disappearance, it was reported that White was behaving in a way that led authorities to believe he was endangered.
Investigators said they are working to determine the cause of White’s death.
Johnson said, “The Rich County Sheriff’s Office would like to offer heartfelt condolences to his family and friends and thank everyone who assisted in the search for Mr. White.”
