LOGAN – D.L. Evans Bank announced this week it will donate $275,000 to a dozen nonprofit organizations across Utah, with a focus on affordable housing, economic development, and low-income services.
The Burley-based community bank said it secured additional matching funds through a new Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines grant program, which offers $1.50 for every $1 donated by participating banks. The program supports community-focused efforts in alignment with the bank’s mission to “strengthen communities.”
“We’re excited about this program and the impact we can make alongside the Federal Home Loan Bank,” the bank said in a statement. “These initiatives highlight what makes community banking unique: its focus on helping people and communities thrive.”
In Cache Valley, the Cache Community Food Pantry received $6,250, while Citizens Against Physical and Sexual Abuse (CAPSA), also based in Logan, was awarded another $6,250. Additional grants in northern Utah include $25,000 for the United Way of Northern Utah, $31,250 for Weber Human Services, and $31,250 for the YCC Foundation.
The largest single donation—$62,500—was given to Fourth Street Clinic in Salt Lake City. Other recipients include the Box Elder Community Pantry and Box Elder Family Support Center (each $12,500), Davis Arts Council ($25,000), Mountain Country Home Solutions ($25,000), and Tabitha’s Way ($37,500).
