The Cache Valley Transit District is doing what is called a “short range transit plan.” Executive Director Todd Beutler says it is a three-to-five year effort where an independent consultant is hired with a transportation background to come in and take an objective look at the system.
He says as part of that, the consultant will help the CVTD gather input.
“That’s something that we want to get from the public right now. Through the end of September we are doing a survey,” Beutler says. “We are asking the public to go to cvtdsurvey.org. To participate in that survey it takes less than 10 minutes.
“It’s for riders, it’s for non-riders, it’s for those who have used the system but are not currently, for those who have never used the system. We’ve got several questions there and just really we want to get input on what people currently like about the system and what they would like to see changed.”
Beutler says he hopes a lot of people will participate in the survey. The information will be used to shape the future of bus service in a way that better meets the community’s transportation needs.
