PARADISE – The Cache Valley Cowboy Rendezvous and the Paradise Lions Club are teaming up to present a concert in Paradise on Monday, June 17.

“It doesn’t get any better than this,” says organizer Dale Major, announcing the Concert in the Park event at 7 p.m. in the South Park in Paradise. “It’s free admission, thanks to the Paradise Lion Club.

“Just bring your own chairs,” he adds.

The free concert will feature the award-winning country-western artistry of Texas thrush Kristyn Harris.

“We were lucky to catch Kristyn Harris on a tour coming this way to perform in Idaho,” Major explains. “She’s always been a favorite performer at our Cowboy Rendezvous and we’re looking forward at a great evening with her on June 17.”

Ms. Harris is a multi-award winning singer, songwriter and entertainer. She is best known for putting a unique swing spin on original and classic songs representing the lifestyle of the West.

She has a powerful voice that is easily recognized, along with rhythmic guitar chops and an energetic stage presence, Major explains. In addition to Ms. Harris’s songwriting skills, she has also been known to yodel now and then.

Although young by the standards of old-timers like Major, Ms. Harris is nonetheless well respected by them for the passion and authenticity she brings to each performance whether as a solo act or with a band.

Although the Concert in the Park on June 17 will be presented free of charge, Major says that donation to cover Ms. Harris’ travel expenses will be gratefully accepted. Refreshments will also be available at that event.

The South Park is located at 9750 South Highway 165 in Paradise.
