CACHE COUNTY – Officials here have announced the closure of a section of 2400 West between the towns of Wellsville and Hyrum.

The road closure will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 27, impacting traffic on 2400 West from 5700 South to 6000 South for what county officials anticipate will be approximately two weeks.

The closure is necessary to facilitate the replacement of a culvert under 2400 West at approximately 5725 South.

Motorists traveling through the area will need to use 3200 West as a detour during the planned two-week period of the closure.

Travel in the area will be further complicated by the continued closure of 1800 West for repairs at Hyrum Dam.

Questions about the planned closure of 2400 West can be directed to the Cache County Public Works Department at 435-755-1560.
