LOGAN – The Orrin G. Hatch Foundation and Utah State University are inviting the public to join in a discussion with political commentator Dana Perino on the topic of free of speech on Friday, Oct. 4.

Perino will address “Improving Civil Dialogue on College Campuses” at the Russell/Wanless Performance Hall at 2 p.m. that afternoon.

“In an era where echo chambers too often drown out genuine debate,” Perino says, “we must learn to listen and engage respectfully.

“I’m eager to share my insights and challenge students and community members to rise above the noise and foster honest, constructive conversations.”

A former White House press secretary during the administration of President George W. Bush, Perino is now a political commentator and co-host of the The Five, a talk show with Greg Gutfeld on the Fox News Network.

Based in Salt Lake City, the Orrin G. Hatch Foundation is a non-profit group that serves as an incubator for policy scholarship, a forum for political discourse, a springboard for civic engagement and a world-class repository for modern legislative history.

The Russell/Wanless Performance Hall is located in the Daryl Chase Fine Arts Center on the USU campus.

The event is free to the public. Due to limited seating, however, university officials say that tickets are required for this event.
