LOGAN – City officials here have announced a one-day closure of the Logan Landfill due to road construction on State Road 30.
City officials have announced a one-day closure of the Logan Landfill due to construction effort by the Utah Department of Transportation along Valley View Highway (also known as State Road 30/200 North) on Saturday, Feb. 22. The entrance to the city landfill at 1400 West will be blocked by UDOT crews that day.
Access to the city landfill from Valley View Highway (also known as State Road 30/200 North) will be blocked by ongoing construction by the Utah Department of Transportation throughout the day on Saturday, Feb. 22.
UDOT crews have been working on State 30 west of Logan to improve safety and address traffic congestion since early August of 2024 and that project is expected to continue until late in the current year.
Improvements to that thoroughfare will include additional travel lanes and widened shoulders as well as bike and pedestrian amenities.
The construction project is taking place between 1000 West (aka State Road 252) and 6000 West (aka State Road 23).
The Logan Landfill is located at 153 North, 1400 West along Valley View Highway (aka State Road 30/200 North).
