Celina Marie Yates, 32 died on March 11, 2024. She was born in Oakland, California on September 21, 1991.
Celina was adopted by Kim & Beverly Yates when she was 10 years old, along with her 9- year-old brother Kristopher. She grew up with her family in the rural setting of Elwood. She enjoyed having pets, was creative, and had a great sense of humor.
Celina was athletic and competed in gymnastics at the Summer Games in St George where she was award 3rd place. During 9th & 10th grade, she also ran cross-country and lettered in this sport. After turning 16, Celina got a job working at Mack’s Drive-In in Tremonton. She created friendships with those who also worked there and loved being able to meet many new people.
Celina is survived by her parents, Kim and Beverly Yates, her siblings Joshua (Sally), Trapper (Suzanne), Ashley (Derek), Megan (Branden), Hayley (Ricky) and Kristopher (Rachel), as well 20 nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held April 1st at 10 am in the Elwood Chapel located at 4865 West 9600 North, Elwood, Utah.
She will be buried at the Elwood Cemetery following the service.
