LOGAN –The Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce is looking for local women willing to part with some of their jewelry to help empower other women.
“We’re collecting new and gently used jewelry for the Women in Business Jewelry Sale,” according to Ann Marie Wallace, who is heading the local effort.
She adds that 100 percent of the proceeds from the jewelry sale will go to fund educational scholarships for Cache Valley women to attend Utah State University and the Bridgerland Technical College.
The WIB Jewelry Sale is slated to take place on Wednesday, Oct. 29 during the Chamber’s Business Women’s Conference at the Riverwoods Conference Center in Logan.
All jewelry donations must be received by July 31, Wallace explains, so that all items can be sorted, cleaned and prepared for display at that event.
Donations can be dropped off at eight locations throughout Cache Valley. Those locations include the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce (75 North Main Street, Logan); the Logan Branch of Altabank (294 South Main Street, Logan); The Red Fox (45 West Center Street, Logan); the North Logan Branch of Altabank (2190 North Main Street, North Logan); Anderson’s Seed & Garden (69 West Center Street, Logan); S.E. Needham Jewelers (141 North Main Street, Logan); The Artist’s Gallery (43 South Main Street, Logan); and Utah Public Radio (745 North, 1200 East on the USU campus).
Wallace says that upcoming event will be an opportunity for Cache Valley women to give their jewelry a new lease on life while helping local women to shine.
The “Sparkle to Support Women” Jewelry Sale is being jointly sponsored by SquareOne Printing, the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce and Women in Business.
