American West Heritage Center has activities for the public through every season of the year.
LOGAN – Rocky Mountain Power Foundation has pledged over $246,000 in new grant funding to support arts and cultural organizations across the three states it serves. The grants will help fund a variety of projects, including traveling music and theater programming in schools, museum access for students, and cultural events celebrating Asian and Native American heritage.
Arts and cultural organizations have been recognized for playing a crucial role in maintaining healthy and resilient communities. The Rocky Mountain Power Foundation’s latest grant cycle has focused on supporting these organizations as part of its four annual grant cycles.
Steve Liechty, Rocky Mountain Power regional business manager, acknowledged the essential role that these groups play in our communities.
“These groups foster creative expression, inspire young minds, nurture well-being, and help us look at the world in new ways,” Liecthy said. “We’re honored to support the incredible work they are doing.”
In Cache Valley, the foundation has provided $11,000 in grants to local organizations supporting the community. The American West Heritage Center has received funding to support hands-on educational history programs and field trips that serve all ages. Meanwhile, the Nibley Children’s Theatre has received funding to provide local children aged 5 through 17 the opportunity to perform in an annual community play presented free to the public.
