LOGAN – The Cache North Company of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers (DUP) have slated a jubilee observance for Monday, June 1.
That event will simultaneously celebrate 125 years of the DUP and America’s 250th Anniversary on July 4, 2026.
To highlight those events, members of the DUP will unveil two custom, handmade quilts intended to honor those prestigious anniversaries.
The group will also debut the patriotic song “These are the STARS,” composed and presented by Robyn Butterfield Buttars.
As part of the jubilee celebration, the members of the DUP will also create a Wall of STARS to honor men and women who have sacrificed for liberty.
Local residents are invited to bring a name, poster or photo of an American patriot, a freedom-seeking Utah pioneer or a modern service member to add to that display.
Formed in 1901, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers is a women’s heritage organization responsible for running museums, collecting historic artifacts, sponsoring Days of 47 scholarships and other statewide activities.
With membership in the thousands, the DUP operates an estimated 16 percent of Utah’s museums.
Activities and pioneer games for youngsters will also provided during the June 1 jubilee celebration. Those planning to attend should RSVP with the number of children attending to 202-302-4921.
The Cache North Company jubilee celebration will be held at 125 East, 500 North in Logan.
