LOGAN – The Cache Children’s Choir is accepting applications for a new artistic director through Friday, Mar. 15.

The artistic director is the chief official of the local non-profit group and serves as its director of the children’s advanced choir. The person filling this role will also serve on the executive committee of the Cache Children’s Choir.

The choir group’s website specifies that the position of artistic director is a part-time responsibility that requires less than 29 hours per week.

Applicants must be available Mondays from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and preference will be given to applicants who can make a long-term commitment to this position.

The Cache Children’s Choir is a local non-profit organization that prepares youngsters for a lifetime of singing by providing quality music training. CCC offers children ranging in ages from pre-school to teenage the opportunity to participate in five separate choral groups.

The current artistic director of the choir group, Chris Machado, will be moving out of the Cache Valley area at the end of the current season. Machado joined the choir organization in 2023.

The Cache Children’s Choir is seeking an artistic director with a bachelor’s degree in Choral Conducting or Music Education and significant experience in childhood music education, according to its website.
