LOGAN — A 35-year-old Brigham City man was arrested for allegedly making threats with a knife after a man parked a “loud” truck at a Hyrum gas station, interrupting an outdoor conversation, according to law enforcement. Kyle Vic Anderson was booked Monday morning into the Cache County Jail.

According to a probable cause statement, Anderson was speaking with at least two other people outside the gas station, when the diesel pickup drove up. He reportedly became frustrated and confronted the driver.

Witnesses told deputies, Anderson became aggressive with the man, who turned his truck off and walked into the gas station.

Anderson reportedly followed the man into the store and confronted him again, according to court paperwork.

Deputies reported, surveillance video showed Anderson then walk out of the store and draw a knife. Witnesses said he began pacing around outside the gas station.

Employees and customers saw the knife and locked the store doors until law enforcement arrived.

Due to the proximity of South Cache Middle School, the school was temporarily placed on lockdown as a precaution.

Anderson was booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct, commercial obstruction, and threatening with a dangerous weapon during a quarrel, all misdemeanors. He was later released from jail, pending arraignment of formal charges.

Individuals arrested and charged in complaints are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
