North Pole Extravaganza at Bridgerland Technical College.
LOGAN – The campus of Bridgerland Technical College transforms into Santa’s village on Friday for the North Pole Extravaganza and will be filled with events, treats, dozens of activities plus a visit from the jolly big man himself. Families can meet Santa Claus and participate in activities from 4-8 p.m. at 1301 North 600 West in Logan. Mrs. Claus will also be there to read holiday stories to children while they wait in line to visit with Santa.
Among the nearly three dozen different activities taking place, families can write and mail Christmas letters, decorate Christmas treats, see Santa’s sleigh and Stable shop (where the elves keep Santa’s sleigh and animals in prime condition), decorate Christmas ornaments and more.
“We’ve been preparing the North Pole for almost a month, and we couldn’t be more excited,” says Student Success Advisor Megan Durrant. “We’ve taken almost every program at BTECH and have transformed it into Santa’s workshop. From Automotive Services to Meat Services, there will be activities, prizes, games, and so much for the community to do.”
Children will be able to make a free Christmas t-shirt, a snow globe and Christmas jewelry. They’ll be able to decorate and take home Santa’s favorite cookies at The Sweet Shop. And, they will also get to test toys with a real robotic toy tester.
“We couldn’t be more excited to bring this event back,” says Outreach Coordinator Charlie Stavely. “We love seeing the kids run up and down the halls, excited to go from one workshop to the next. We have almost 30 different activities planned.
“There will be plenty of fun that night. We also hope it’s an opportunity for parents to see what BTECH has to offer!”
In addition to hosting a fun holiday event, the Business Technology students will be conducting a Diaper Drive that night for foster children at the Little Lambs foundation. Donation boxes will be at each entrance of the school.
Santa’s North Pole Extravaganza is a free open house and open to the public on Friday, December 2 from 4-8 p.m.
