December 31, 1970 ~ January 1, 2023 (age 52)

Brent Allen Martin passed away on New Year’s Day January 1, 2023, after a short illness and cardiac arrest.

Brent was born on December 31, 1970, he was a New Year’s Eve baby. He was born in Ogden, Utah, the son of Albert Martin Jr. and Marlene Maria Wild.

Brent married Becky Cobbley, they had a son Tyson Brent Martin and a daughter Kelsey Marie, they later divorced.

Brent was educated in Weber and Davis County Schools. Brent was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He attended the Perry 7th Ward and held many positions through the years.

Brent had a love of life; he was a positive person and a friend to all. He believed his friends were a great blessing in his life. Brent was interested in travel and loved the outdoors; he was a bird watcher. Brent was also interested in antiques and collectibles of many kinds and was very knowledgeable in these subjects. Brent, with his son Tyson and brothers Rich and John, really loved cars, trucks, and moving things. He loved a good conversation with everyone and was always interested in others.

Brent’s son Tyson was his best friend, he loved being with Tyson and his mother Marlene. Family was the most important thing to Brent. His sister Wendy was a light in his life and his brothers Rich and John were his buddies.

Brent is survived by his son, Tyson; his mother Marlene; two brothers: Richard Albert (Beth) Martin, Kaysville, UT; John Lee (Michelle) Martin, Perry, UT; one sister Wendy Frampton, West Haven, UT; and his beloved aunt Dorothy Moutray. He loved being an uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and daughter.

We know as a family while we are mourning our beloved son, father, brother, uncle and friend, he is marveling at the life after this.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Perry 7th Ward, 2415 South 900 West, Perry, Utah.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 South 100 East, Brigham City UT and on Saturday prior to the service from 11:00 – 12:40 p.m. at the Church.

Interment will be in the Mantua Cemetery.
