TREMONTON – The excitement is building for this year’s centennial celebration of the Box Elder County Fair to be held Saturday, August 16 to Saturday, August 23 at the Box Elder County Fairgrounds located at 320 N. 1000 W. Tremonton.

For 100 years this event has been a gathering place, a homecoming, and a celebration of everything that makes rural Utah special.

“This year, we invite everyone to join us as we celebrate 100 years of community, tradition, and country pride in Tremonton, Utah,” said Lynnette Crockett a public information officer for Box Elder County. “County fairs are woven into the fabric of rural life.”

The fair is where neighbors meet in the shade of the livestock barns, watch a world class rodeo where flying dirt meets the sound of cheering crowds, where blue ribbons hang proudly on homemade quilts and homegrown vegetables, and where generations pass down skills, stories, and a love of the land.

“In Box Elder County, we’re proud to be known as Utah’s best county fair and rodeo, and we don’t take that title lightly,” Crockett said. “From the moment you step onto the grounds, you’ll feel the energy of a community that works hard, plays hard, and celebrates together like no other.”

This year’s celebration includes:

  • Golden Spike Rodeo – Celebrating 100 Years. Four nights of PRCA action (Aug. 20–23), tickets are selling out faster than ever before. Each night following the rodeo, a drone show will light up the sky.
  • Box Elder Junior Livestock Show & Auction – Last year they raised $2.2 million inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders.
  • Horse Traditions:
    • Saturday the 16th: Rodeo Slack & Draft Horse Pulls (Free Admission)
    • Monday – All Horse & Buggy Parade (Parade starts at 3 PM)
    • Tuesday – All-Day Draft Horse Show
    • Friday – Open Class Horse Shows
  • Wednesday Parade & Centenarian Celebration: A community-wide showcase of businesses, clubs, and local talent. Honoring locals turning 100 this year.
  • Daily Fair Fun (Wed–Sat): Antique tractor displays, carnival rides, fair food, live local artists and music at the Bandstand, commercial vendors, and exhibits showcasing the very best of our county’s talents.

“From sunrise to the last carnival ride under the lights, the Box Elder County Fair is an experience you can’t find anywhere else in Utah,” Crockett said. “This milestone year is the perfect time to see for yourself why our fair and rodeo are second to none.”
