An independently organized search party located the body of Foust in the nearby city of Wilder, Covington police said Sunday. The missing person was found at the site of an old steel plant, according to the Campbell County Coroner’s Office.

There is no evidence of foul play at this time, police said. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Campbell County Coroner’s Office. No additional details will be released until that point, police said.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the Foust family and their loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” the Covington Police Department said in a statement. “While we are saddened by this loss, we hope this development can provide the family with some answers and a measure of closure.”

Police used multiple resources in the search for Foust, including water rescue and search teams, and drone operators in the search for Foust, who was last captured in surveillance footage walking in Latonia on April 27.

The fine arts major in the university’s College of Arts and Sciences was set to graduate earlier this month, ABC affiliate WCPO in Cincinnati reported.

“We are heartbroken to learn of the death of our student, Murry (Alexis) Foust,” a spokesperson for Northern Kentucky University, said in a statement to WCPO. “Our thoughts are with their family, friends and all who knew them. This is a profound loss for our campus community. We are grateful to the Covington Police Department and all of those who assisted in the search efforts.”
