GARDEN CITY – Claudia Cottle of Bear Lake Watch announced their annual meeting will be on Thursday, June 29 at 6 p.m. The virtual meeting is open to the public. On the day of the meeting there will be a link on bearlakewatch.com.
The new meeting format will allow participants to interact with the presenters who will address various aspects of important Bear Lake water resource issues.
Organizers are planning on more people tuning into the meeting and are hoping to keep the meeting to an hour and the presentations will be available to watch at their own time.
“It will be an interesting meeting. We have had people attend in person in the past,” said Cottle. “Come and see what we do as we decided to try this online.”
Bear Lake Watch announced the following line up of their seven powerful presenters:
- Teresa Wilhelmsen, State Engineer/Director, Utah Department of Natural Resources
- Jim Bowcutt, Director, Utah Department of Agriculture and Food
- Don Barnett, Bear River Commission
- Brian Steed, Executive Director, USA Janet Quinney Lawson Institute for Land, Water and Air
- Mike Hess, Hydrologist, USGS
- Jake Serago, Hydrologist, Great Salt Lake Watershed Study
- Andy Stokes, Park Ranger, Bear Lake State Park, Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation
