MALAD CITY, Idaho — A 41-year-old Malad City woman died late Saturday night after the utility vehicle she was driving crashed into a tree, according to the Idaho State Police.

The crash occurred at 11:55 p.m. near the intersection of 2100 West and 1000 North in Oneida County. Authorities said the woman was driving a Polaris RZR when the vehicle traveled off the roadway and collided with a tree.

Police said the driver, whose identity was not immediately released, was not wearing a seat belt and died from her injuries at the scene.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department and Oneida County EMS assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
