LOGAN — The widow of Officer Eric Estrada released a public statement expressing deep gratitude for the community support she has received in the eight months following the “worst day” of her life.

In a rare public message, Brittney Estrada thanked local residents and law enforcement agencies for their “overwhelming love and support” following the death of her husband. Estrada noted that she and her late husband had always been private people, making the public nature of the tragedy particularly difficult to navigate.

“There are no words good enough to express how extremely thankful I am to this community for coming together to support our families,” Estrada said. “I am incredibly humbled and honored to have been surrounded by your kindness and encouragement.”

Reflecting on the months since the incident, Estrada described the period as “extremely difficult,” stating she would trade anything to have her husband home. She highlighted the funeral procession as a pivotal moment of strength, describing the feeling of being surrounded by love while in shock and disbelief.

Estrada specifically praised the Tremonton-Garland Police Department and surrounding agencies. She noted that officers and their families have supported her “every step of the way” while managing their own grief.

“Thank you for each and every single event, moment of silence, and dedication that has honored our officers,” she said.

While the statement addressed her gratitude and the impact of the loss, Estrada requested privacy regarding her children and specific details of the legal case. Her message serves as a poignant reminder of the lasting bond between the community and the families of fallen officers as they continue to process the events of the past year.
