RICH COUNTY — Eight people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash south of Bear Lake. The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon.
Utah Highway Patrol spokesperson Cameron Roden said a Ford transit van was northbound on SR-16 when it crossed over the center median in the area of Reed Lane, just south of Woodruff, and hit a motorhome head-on.
Deputies with the Rich County Sheriff’s Office asked the public to avoid the area as a result.
Roden explained the crash required an extrication, and at least one person suffered critical injuries.
Emergency first responders, including medical ground and air ambulances; fire; and law enforcement, were at the scene.
