LOGAN – Graduation at seven Utah State University statewide campuses were recently conducted, leading to three days of commencement activities Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week at USU’s Logan campus.
Ceremonies begin Wednesday, April 30 at 7 p.m. in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
College convocations and hooding ceremonies are scheduled for the morning of Thursday, May 1 and continuing through most of the day Friday, May 2.
Commencement speaker is M. William “Willy” Lensch, a USU alumnus who is associate provost for research at Harvard University. He will receive an honorary degree as will prominent philanthropist Kem C. Gardner, a real estate developer who is a champion of education and healthcare.
During the 138th commencement this week USU will confer 7,938 degrees to 7,185 students.
This year the five most popular degrees among undergraduates are Economics (356), Communicative Disorders and Deaf Educations (229), Psychology (214), Kinesiology (174) and Mechanical Engineering (170).
The USU commencement website lists the full schedule of events and ceremonies will be broadcast live on AggieCast. Photos will be uploaded throughout the day.
Tickets for the Logan campus commencement events are not required.
