Eva Hadfield, a sophomore at Mountain Crest, took first place with her design, which will be featured in promotional materials for the 2025 competition. Brenna Monson, a junior at Ridgeline, earned second place, while Megan Olsen, a senior at Mountain Crest, secured third.

The annual contest invites students from both schools to create logo designs for the prestigious music competition. This year’s winning logo will be displayed prominently alongside other submissions during the event.

The Young Artist Cup, founded by Julie and George Whitney, is celebrating its 26th year of fostering artistic and musical talent among high school students in the south end of Cache Valley.

“After 25 years, we never cease to be amazed at the talent these contestants display during this competition,” the Whitneys stated in a release. “One cannot attend these performances without being in awe of the work and dedication they put in to improve their talents. It has been amazing to watch each performer develop and improve as they compete from year to year.”

The 2025 Young Artist Cup Music Competition will take place March 26–27 at Ridgeline High School. Applications for musicians open in January, and all logo designs will be exhibited in the event’s lobby. The community is encouraged to attend and support the talented young artists and musicians.
