LOGAN — A large gas leak caused the closer of SR-30, Valley View Highway for almost two hours Thursday. The closure was between 1000 West and Gateway Drive.
Logan City Police Chief Jeff Simmons said preliminary information indicates a construction crew, working on the road struck the gas line around noon.
As a precaution, Logan City police and firefighters set up a perimeter around the gas leak.
Traffic was detoured around the area for almost two hours while crews repaired the damaged gas line. The road was reopened just before 2 p.m.
Simmons said there were no reports of any injuries or property damage.
