OGDEN — Three Utah State University students were among seven college students who recently completed Bank of Utah’s 2026 Summer Internship Program, gaining hands-on experience in community banking through professional development, cross-department collaboration and community service.
Utah State students Adam Bendall, Ethan Evans and Coleman Vickers participated in the summer program alongside students from Weber State University, Brigham Young University and the University of Utah.
One aspect of the program was a community service project benefiting first responders. The interns assembled and delivered 60 self-care kits to firefighters at six Salt Lake City fire stations. Each kit included everyday essentials, snacks and handwritten thank-you notes recognizing the firefighters’ service.
“Our interns embraced every opportunity to learn, collaborate and make a meaningful contribution throughout the summer,” Nathaly Pimienta, talent acquisition manager at Bank of Utah, said in a statement. “Our goal is to help develop future leaders while showing them the importance of building relationships, serving others and making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.”
The internship program is designed to introduce college students to careers in community banking through mentorship, collaborative projects, professional development opportunities and community involvement.
In addition to Bendall, Evans and Vickers, this year’s internship class included Ben Lamoreaux, Hope Mickey, Amelia Santelli and Ashton Harrow.
