SALT LAKE CITY – Starting Monday, there’s a streamlined process for business owners to register their new ventures. The Utah Division of Corporations and Commercial Code rolled out a new business registration system for business owners across the state.
Margaret Busse, executive director of the Utah Department of Commerce, said the upgrade is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance support for the business community.
“As the ‘Startup State,’ it is vital that we continue to make significant advancements in our efforts to support Utah’s business community,” Busse said in a release. “We want to make registering a business in Utah as streamlined as possible, and this upgrade will help us achieve that.”
The new system will feature an improved user interface, an all-in-one dashboard that consolidates registration information, and enhanced security measures that allow business owners to control access and permissions for their filings.
Business owners and prospective entrepreneurs will need to create a UtahID to access the system. Additional information on the new system and how to create a UtahID is available at corporations.utah.gov.
