LOGAN – During a series of six late-January and early February public meetings the Utah State University Presidential Search Committee will seek input as the process to identify the school’s next leader continues toward an expected summer 2023 conclusion.

Those attending may join in-person or virtual meetings.

Jan. 25, noon to 1:30 p.m. USU campus (for faculty and staff feedback)
Jan. 26, noon to 1:30 p.m. USU campus (for student feedback)
Jan. 26, 5-6:30 p.m. USU campus (feedback from the general public)
Jan. 27,3:30-5 p.m. (a virtual meeting for feedback from USU stakeholders statewide)
Feb. 2, 4:30-6 p.m. (in Vernal for all USU Uintah Basin stakeholders)
Feb. 2, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (in Price for USU Eastern stakeholders)

With input from these meetings the committee will shape a position announcement which is the primary advertisement for the position.

Later, with the help of a search firm, the committee will recruit candidates, screen applications, and conduct interviews with a number of potential finalists.

The committee co-chairs are Utah Board of Higher Education member Richard Wheeler and USU Board of Trustees Chair Kent Alder.

The committee’s next public announcement will include its recommendation of three to five finalists to the Utah Board of Higher Education.
