The Utah Debate Commission is hosting a debate of Republican candidates for U.S. Senate on Thursday, June 2 at 6 p.m. Participants include Becky Edwards and Ally Isom. Incumbent candidate Sen. Mike Lee will not be participating despite multiple invitations from the Utah Debate Commission. The debate will be moderated by Doug Wilks and broadcast live on KVNU 610 AM / 102.1 FM and on radio and television stations throughout the state of Utah.
Wilks is the executive editor of the Deseret News. His four-decade news career as a reporter and editor include stints with Gannett in Marin County, California, and the New York Times Regional Media Group as an editor before joining the Deseret News in 2012.
The Republican primary is June 28th.
