LEWISTON – TriStar Ranch, located at 1981 South Main Street in Lewiston, hosted their 2nd annual 2024 Summer Kickoff Festival on Saturday, June 1, treating attendees to a day of family friendly activities.

Samantha Draney, founder, president, and equine specialist of TriStar Ranch LLC, organized the event and said the activity was to bring attention to their horse program.

“Last year was our first year and we had about 100 people come and participate,” she said. “Our ranch is an outpatient equine therapy facility that offers Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, Equine Assisted Learning, Equine Assisted EMDR, and Horsemanship to our clients.”

Some 250 adults and children came to get a good look at the ranch and what it offers and participate in the fun activities.

“The event featured an assortment of horse-themed games, pony rides, facepainting, crafts, local vendors, bouncy houses, and prizes for children, creating lasting memories for all who joined in the festivities,” she said. ”Attendees came from all around Cache Valley and beyond, with families and vendors enjoying a celebration of the start of summer in style.”

Draney said TriStar Ranch has been in Lewiston since 2020 and the town is a good fit for the horse programs they offer.

“I am overjoyed at the community support by the incredible attendance by families and vendors and the support of our event sponsors,” Draney said. “Attendees of all ages enjoyed the different activities and socializing with friends, neighbors, and new acquaintances. We’ve made it a priority to ensure that everyone in our community can join in the fun.”

Jeff Neilson, a local who attended the Summer Kick-Off Festival, said it was a great way to spend his Saturday.

“You guys went all out, it was amazing,” he said. “There was a lot of great activities for people to enjoy.”

One of the volunteers at the festival emphasized the positive atmosphere and successful turnout.
