TREMONTON – The Grille Restaurant, located at 1410 West Main in Tremonton, is holding a special fundraiser dinner for law enforcement officers going to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington D.C. on Sunday, March 22.

This year, Police Week will be held Monday, May 11, through Saturday, May 16 in the nation’s capital.

Officers from the Tremonton Garland Police Department and the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department will be attending the memorial service to honor officers Lee Sorensen and Eric Estrada, the two officers who died while serving the Tremonton community in August of 2025.

“We have several officers from the Tremonton Garland Police Department and Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office who are going to attend National Police Week in Washington, D.C.,” said Chantell Marsh, who organized the fundraiser. “We’ve had several other fundraisers to help fund their travel. I think this is the last one.”

Marsh said she works as a server at the restaurant part-time and part-time at the police department, so it was an easy thing for her to put together.

Each May, law enforcement from across the country are honored for their courage, sacrifice and dedication during National Police Week around the country. Part of the event is Peace Officer Memorial Day that recognizes officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving their community.

“We had to hold the fundraiser on Sunday because we didn’t want to take shifts from the servers,” she said. “Area law enforcement officers will be serving that event and doing the clean up,” she said. “That is when the Grille does these kinds of events.”

Carla Munns, the owner of the restaurant, said she thinks people will have a good time.

“It should be a lot of fun. I’ll be honest with you, we are expecting a good crowd,” Munns said. “I’m looking forward to it.”

Munns said they would like to raise up to $10,000 to send the officers to the Memorial.

The menu gives a choice of prime rib, salmon or chicken cordon bleu. It will include mozzarella sticks, green salad, loaded baked potato, green beans, a roll and a fountain drink for $40 a plate.
