LOGAN – The LionHeart Hall has announced the line-up of vocalists for its week-long observance of Valentine’s Day with elegant dinner and show performances.
The female vocalists performing with the Jay Richards orchestra Feb. 7 through Feb. 15 will be Lindsey Kelstrom, Sebrina Woodland and Megan Nelson.
Those women will perform a tribute to singing girl groups since the 1950s, according to Travis Leonhardt, co-owner of the LionHeart Hall.
“I peaked my head into a rehearsal session the other day,” Leonhardt explains, “and these three women were blowing my mind.
“Singing in the style of (Diana Ross and) the Supremes … their harmonies are amazing and their solos are even better.”
Ms. Kelstrom is well-known to local audiences for singing the lead in the Cache Valley debut of the bluegrass musical Bright Star for the Cache Theatre Company in 2019 and an amusingly memorable turn as lonely shop girl in She Loves Me staged by the Utah Festival Opera & Musical Theatre in 2022.
More recently, she directed an amazing production of the Disney musical Newsies for Music Theatre West in 2024.
Ms. Woodland is equally recognizable as a veteran performer who has previous appeared in local productions of School of Rock by Cache Theatre Company in 2023 and in the Music Theatre West production of Annie in 2020, as well as a previous concert show at LionHeart Hall.
Ms. Nelson also performed in the 2024 production of Newsies and The Sound of Music by MTW in 2021.
Performances of the collaboration between LionHeart Hall and Richard’s orchestra are slated for Friday, Feb. 7; Saturday, Feb. 8; Monday, Feb. 10; Tuesday, Feb. 11; Thursday, Feb. 13; Friday, Feb. 14; and Saturday, Feb. 15.
The event will begin with the catered dinner each night at 6:30 p.m., followed by the one-hour long musical performance at 7:30 p.m.
The diner menu will consist of roasted chicken with lemon butter sauce; rolls and butter; traditional house salad with choice of ranch and balsamic vinaigrette dressing; oven roasted red potatoes; berry cobbler with cinnamon ice cream, plus refreshments.
