August 14, 1965 – June 25, 2022 (age 56)

Travis H Miles, 56, passed on June 25, 2022. He was born to Gerald Henry Miles and Helen Priscilla Hansen in Logan, Utah on August 14, 1965.

At the young age of seven, Travis was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes which led to many hardships in his life.

Travis graduated from Sky View High School in 1983 and later received several certifications from Bridgerland Applied Technology Center.

In 1989 after being on dialysis due to diabetes complications, Travis received a kidney transplant at the age of 24 which failed almost immediately after. He was lucky to receive a second transplant which proceeded to last him almost 30 years.

In 1995 Travis married Heather Glenn, and they lived in Smithfield, Utah until 2005 when they divorced.  In 2006 Travis met the love of his life, LaNette Hansen, and married into his forever family; becoming father to 4. Austin, Arron (Audrey), Angela (Jim and Zoey), and Kyle. They lived in Hyde Park, Utah where they built their family home. Travis and LaNette divorced in 2014; however, his relationship with his family remained unbreakable. His daughter Angela and he remained especially close. Travis was lovingly called Papa by his grand daughter Zoey.

Travis started working at Bourns in 1992 and continued there until he retired in 2020 when he started dialysis for the second time. Travis was a friend to all and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. He was often heard saying, “Don’t waste your energy being upset. Let it roll off of you like water off a ducks back.” Travis is greatly loved by so many and will be especially missed.

Funeral services will be on Friday, July 1st at the Smithfield LDS chapel, 79 E 200 S in Smithfield.
