LOGAN – The upcoming Christmas festivities in Logan will include two performances of the Utah holiday tradition The Forgotten Carols.
The touring musical by Utah composer Michael McLean is slated to be staged in the auditorium of Logan High School on Saturday, Dec. 6 with performances at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Since its debut in 1991, The Forgotten Carols has been performed for more than a million people in Utah and Idaho, becoming a holiday tradition for thousands of families.
The musical center on Connie Lou, a nurse whose life is empty until a patient she is attending recounts the story of Christ’s birth told from the perspective of little-known characters in the nativity story, reminding her of what the world has forgotten about Christmas.
The organizers of the 2025 tour of The Forgotten Carols promise that the show will feature “breathtaking performances of heartwarming melodies and laugh-out-loud entertainment within a timeless Christmas story.”
The versatile McLean is a Utah songwriter, author, performer, playwright, film producer and director.
After beginning his career making commercials for radio and television, McLean later used that experience to produce and direct several films, including Together Forever, The Prodigal Son and Mr. Krueger’s Christmas, starring film legend Jimmy Stewart.
McLean released his debut album “You’re Not Alone” in 1983 and has since sold more than 1.5 million copies of his more than 30 follow-up albums, five books and two videos.
