LOGAN – A trio of talented actors will lead the speakers at the next installment of “Light Switch Stories” at LionHeart Hall.
That event is slated to begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, when Cache Valley residents sharing candid, intimate revelations about their lives will include the familiar performers Chris Metz, Lauren Kian and Rachel Worthen.
Metz will be fresh from his role as Shakespeare in the joint Cache Theatre Company and Music Theatre West production of Something Rotten! at the Ellen Eccles Theatre. He is also well known to local audiences thanks to memorable performances in local productions of School of Rock and Spongebob the Musical.
Ms. Kian is equally well known following leading roles in Four Seasons Theatre Company productions of Into the Woods, The Wizard of Oz and Tarzan.
Ms. Worthen recently performed a leading role in the MTW production of Catch Me If You Can.
Introduced by host Kaira Dark, the other speakers recalling that moment of crystal-clear realization when the “light switch” went off in their heads will be Casey Rock, Sammy Pond, Marci Elliot and Randall Bagley.
The overall theme of the September chapter of “Light Switch Stories” is Schooled, according to Ryan Leonhardt, the co-owner of the performance venue.
The evening event will begin at 6 p.m. with an optional gathering to give people an opportunity to network and mingle. The actually storytelling will begin at 7 p.m.
LionHeart Hall is Cache Valley’s newest performance venue and social gathering place. In addition to provided a home base for the Cache Theatre Company, the hall also hosts recitals, music performances, weddings and other events.
LionHeart Hall features a pleasing combination of art deco décor along with professional sound and lighting equipment.
Tickets for the “Light Switch Stories” event on Sept. 27 can be purchased at the door for $10.
