ECK Folkloric Dancers by David Siles will perform at the Cinco de Mayo celebration at Cache County Fair Grounds on May 5, 2021.

LOGAN-The second annual Cinco de Mayo celebration was held at the Cache County Fair grounds and was bigger and better than last year. Carolina Calbimonte from JUAN 97.3 said this year’s celebration was moved the fairgrounds to accommodate more people.

There is plenty of things for children to do at the Cinco de Mayo celebration located at the Cache County Fair Grounds.

We have more vendors, more food trucks and more entertainment than last year,” Calbimonte said. “Last year it was so amazing and crowded. We thought we needed to move the event so we could have more room to celebrate.”

The entertainment, food trucks and vendors began at noon and continues until after 8 p.m.

The schedule of events featured some of the Latino community’s top performers including Mariachi Dinastia, Chilean People with local musicians Licha Rosas s and Fernando Orozco.

Carolina Calbimonte from JUAN 97.3 at the Media Group moved the Cinco de Mayo to the fairgrounds to accommodate more people.

There are were also activities for the whole family, with bounce houses for children, face painting, and for adults, their were companies looking for people to hire.

Cinco de Mayo is a annual celebration held to commemorates the anniversary of Mexico’s victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza
